MagMed installations for Center Parcs and Champneys

Center Parcs, one of the UK's largest domestic holiday destinations, has commissioned 15 bespoke IR therapy rooms from MagMed for the newly refurbished 3-bed executive villas at their Longleat site.

MagMed has also been contracted to install a bespoke 4-person infrared therapy room at the front of the Aqua Sana Spa at Center Parcs' Whinfell Forest site in Cumbria. The facility is scheduled to open in mid-December 2007.

A further recent project by the company saw the installation in November of a Physiotherm infrared therapy system at the Champneys Henlow Grange Health Resort in Bedfordshire.

MagMed are a leading infrared therapy specialist and utilise Physiotherm® IR technology within their IR therapy cabins and bespoke therapy rooms. Working temperatures of 30˚C-35˚C and motion sensor controls ensures a high level of energy efficiency and a minimal carbon footprint.

Physiotherm’s patented technology utilises volcanic lavasand to produce a targeted deep heat treatment that warms the blood vessels in the back, the point at which this heat can be most effectively transmitted to the blood and absorbed by the entire body via the circulatory system.

MagMed says medical studies show that this technique safely enhances the immune system, strengthens the cardiovascular system, increases pain relieving neurotransmitters within the brain, lowers blood pressure and detoxifies; for maximum health benefits without any discomfort.

MagMed IR therapy occurs within a dry, comfortable environment that can be made to fit within any available space such as treatment room or changing area; it does not need to be in the wet area.

As such, the company adds, it is very flexible and offers the perfect environment for effortless relaxation and rejuvenation.
